According to Perforce report, Java and Devops Development Provider, it plans to add further Java developers next year a little more than half of Java (51%) trades. And while 34% plans to increase the Java budget in 2025, it is 42% compared to it planned in 2024.
These findings were quoted in the Java productivity report for 2025 productivity, published by March 4 Perforce, which offers a tool for the development of JREBEL Java, this year has explored 731 developers, team management, managers and executives working in Java Realm. While 51% said it was planning to add Java developers in 2025, 16% did not plan to add the number of employees and 32% were uncertain. Thirty -four pierces planned to increase the Java tool budget this year compared to 42% last year.
In other findings, only 12% of respondents stated that they did not use AOLS, while 12% replied that their companies did not allow the use of AOLS. Among the best AI tools among respondents are “Generic Juggernaut” Chatgpt (used 52%) and Github Copilot (used 42%), with IDE integrated AI tools (used by 25%). The developers most likely turned to AI for kitchen (60%) and refactoring (39%). Error detection (30%), documentation generation (28%), tuning assistance (26%) and automated testing (21%) were also cited as conventional boxes for use.
